Maestro Goes Out With a Bang
Special guest performance by Norrbotten Chamber Orchestra. Expect a trip down a musical memory lane and even a few surprises when principal conductor Petter Sundkvist conducts his last concert.
Over the past ten years, maestro Petter Sundkvist has conducted the Norrbotten Chamber Orchestra in over 100 performances. To say that his musical treasure chest is jam-packed with classical gems is no overstatement. From among his extensive repertoire, Sundkvist has compiled a collection of his personal favourites and has given audiences the chance to decide which of them will be performed during his final tour. It turned out to be; Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Sibelius' Romance in C major and an orchestral arrangement of Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 8 in C minor.
The concert will be Sundkvist's last as principal conductor for Norrbotten Chamber Orchestra, so don't be surprised if it includes a surprise or two! Don't miss this unique opportunity to see northern Sweden's premier conductor, maestro Petter Sundkvist, conduct his own musical send-off as principal conductor for Norrbotten Chamber Orchestra before he moves on to tackle new challenges.
