Sagan om Babar
CHIDREN'S CLASSIC BABAR – NOW AS A MUSICAL VERSION!
Jean and Laurent de Brunhoff's beloved and classic children's story from 1931 has been remade as a children's concert! Who among us doesn't remember the story of the little elephant baby Babar, whose mother is killed by hunters and who is later taken care of by Madame? Babar is raised in the city, but soon returns to the jungle, where he becomes King of the Elephants and marries his beloved Celeste.
Francis Poulenc wrote the music for the story back in 1940, and it is this piece for chamber orchestra that we will hear at NorrlandsOperan, thanks to sections of our symphony orchestra.
