A poetic tale about life, happiness and love. The Soldier’s Tale is a masterful piece of music written by Igor Stravinsky. Actress on Norrlandsoperan’s stage is Stina Ekblad.

The Soldier’s Tale is about a young and naive soldier, who makes a pact with the devil to be able to see into the future. The text is written by Charles Ferdinand Ramuz in 1918 under the impression of the first world war, and was translated into swedish by Erik Lindegren 1957. The show is a subtle blend of story and music influenced by both the tango and ragtime. The music is played by a septet from the Norrlandsoperan’s Symphony Orchestra.
