When an ensemble from Norrlandsoperan meets a mixed choir from Malå anything can happen. Based on the American composer Aaron Copeland’s classic Appalachian Spring, the repertoire builds on the theme of Spring Light – it can be from folk music media, madrigals by Thomas Morley, Max Richters Recomposed Spring Vivaldi to Nordic Spring by Daniel Fjellström. What one can be quite sure of is that organizer Daniel Fjellström and conductor Per-Erik Andersson (for everyday violinist in Norrlandsoperans Symphony Orchestra) appear for a colorful performance.
The concert will also be touring in the northern county – Malå church on April 12 and the Johanneskyrkan in Vännäs on April 13th. Tickets are purchased on site.
