Beautiful and magnificent, featuring two romantic favorites<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Two romantic favorites are on the program, conducted by Eduardo Strausser, chief conductor of the Norrlandsoperan. The evening begins with a shorter orchestral work by Anton Webern, followed by Mendelssohn\u2019s Violin Concerto. Felix Mendelssohn\u2019s Violin Concerto in E minor is full of beautiful melodies and demands a great deal from the evening\u2019s soloist, violinist Liya Petrova, who was born in Bulgaria and lives in Paris.

The evening culminates in Franz Schubert\u2019s Symphony No. 9, often called \u201cThe Great.\u201d It is a powerful symphony with grand melodies that are given room to unfold and develop. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
