Reuse and the Environment: A Common Thread<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

During the performance, the various \u201cconcert cans\u201d are opened with the children\u2019s help. Using instruments such as the saxophone, bass clarinet, vocals, and piano, Lisa & Thomas take the audience on a journey of discovery into the magical world of the \u201cconcert cans.\u201d An old glass bottle becomes an instrument when Thomas breathes life into it, and Lisa sings a melancholy blues song about a potato that someone threw away. Why is food thrown away? Can we find new uses for discarded items? Raising awareness about reuse and the environment in a simple way is a central theme of the performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through movement, singing, and the chance to influence part of the plot, the children interact throughout the performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Lisa & Thomas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lisa \u00d6stergren has been the bandleader of the multiple Grammis-nominated children\u2019s jazz group Familjen Sv\u00e4ngsson for over 20 years. In addition, she has been a member of the vocal group The Real Group, among other things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas Backman has worked with a wide range of artists, from Georg Riedel to Miss Li. Thomas\u2019s latest critically acclaimed solo album, *When Light Is Put Away*, won the Manifest Award for Jazz of the Year 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lisa & Thomas\u2019s wide-ranging musical style is evident in their show, where children are introduced to folk songs as well as blues, jazz, and disco. The show was created during the winter of 2022\u20132023, and the music from the show was released on the album \u201cKonsertburkar\u201d in April 2024. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
