Musical Magician <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Johan Lindstr\u00f6m has been described as a musical wizard and is one of Sweden\u2019s most sought-after musicians. He is known both as a guitarist (particularly on the pedal steel guitar) who has backed numerous artists and as a highly sought-after arranger. Over the past ten years, he has produced and arranged more than 25 albums. Rebecka T\u00f6rnqvist, Ane Brun, Freddie Wadling, Totta N\u00e4slund, Titiyo, and Anna Ternheim are just a few of the artists Johan Lindstr\u00f6m has collaborated with. In 2020, the Norrbotten Big Band had the honor of having him as Composer in Residence. Over the course of a year, he met regularly with the big band musicians for rehearsals, crafting colorful and imaginative compositions that resulted in both live performances and an acclaimed album titled *Johan Lindstr\u00f6m & Norrbotten Big Band*.Lindstr\u00f6m himself has described the music on the album as \u201ca kaleidoscope where the pattern takes shape to the sounds of zombie-cha-cha, big-band folk, instrumental hip-hop, and a little bit of Kurt Weill, Igor Stravinsky, and Peres Perado thrown in for good measure.\u201d The album, released in 2023, received rave reviews, and it is with this music that Johan Lindstr\u00f6m and the Norrbotten Big Band are now reuniting for a delightful concert.Norrbotten Big Band is a modern big band with deep roots in the jazz tradition and a repertoire that extends into soul, funk, and contemporary art music. The band has been nominated for several Grammis Awards and has also been nominated for an international Grammy. The band\u2019s artistic director is Joakim Milder, who has described Johan Lindstr\u00f6m in the following words: \u201cGifted with an incredibly rich imagination, a bold openness, aesthetic refinement, and a well-developed ability to articulate artistic ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
