Who are we in the middle of all the big things?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Bj\u00f6rn S\u00e4fsten’s performances always offer a care for the details, intricate patterns, mathematical precision, a tone of warmth and furiously skilled dancers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With And So We’re Gone<\/em> , Bj\u00f6rn examines the relationship between the infinity of time and our own time-limited mortality. He does so together with a brilliant quartet of dancers, each of whom we have met on the stage of Norrlandsoperan several times before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who are we in the middle of all the big things?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do we understand the unwavering march of time, for real, or perhaps always too late?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is it possible to embody something as abstract as the subjective experience of time?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From intricate patterns of walking, twisting and abrupt stops, a detailed and fascinating web of movement is created. A geometry that is suddenly broken by an everyday, like snapshots, or are they fantasies? Fragments of a life lived and a life lost. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the choreographer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since his high school years in Ume\u00e5, Bj\u00f6rn has become known for his unmistakable movement language and confident composition. He has also run research projects and since 2018 runs the festival Within practice. He is today one of the country’s most established choreographers, constantly challenging our experience of time, space and communication through his investigations of the abstract and concrete in the smallest components of movement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With his charming TED talk-inspired solo show In Indeed, which has been touring since 2021, Bj\u00f6rn has come to be known to a wider audience as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
