I ”Partita no. 2 – sei solo” får vi ta del av koreografen Örjan Anderssons särskilda förmåga att göra dans och musik till en gemensam kropp. Vi möter den solitära människan. Avskalad och utelämnad. Hennes öde vävs samman med violinisten Jonathan Mortons tolkning av Bachs vemodiga solostycke ”Partita no. 2”. Tillsammans med ljudkonstnären B J Nilsens inspelningar från ett nedstängt Amsterdam växer ett sublimt landskap fram. Vi rör oss, i hisnande hastighet, från det nära och intima till svindlande högt belägna platser. En auditiv mental resa mellan nuet och det sedan urminnes tider försvunna.
Partita är ett verk skapat i ett samarbete mellan violinisten Jonathan Morton från Scottish Ensemble i Glasgow och koreografen Örjan Andersson. Verket är en fortsättning på ett pågående samarbete mellan Andersson Dance och Scottish Ensemble och följer verken “Goldberg Variations – Ternary patterns for insomnia” (2015) och “Prelude – skydiving from a dream” (2019)
Örjan Andersson
Örjan Andersson är en av Sveriges mest uppmärksammade koreografer och leder sedan 1996 sitt eget kompani Andersson Dance. Efter framgångsrika år som dansare på Östgötabaletten och Batsheva Dance Company i Israel, debuterade han som koreograf på 90-talet.
Hans första stora beställningsverk för Cullbergbaletten blev en succé och öppnade dörrar internationellt. Efter det har han skapat verk för flera stora danskompanierna, däribland Kungliga Operan, Nederlands Dans Theatre och Compañía Nacional de Danza i Madrid.

Partita is a piece created in a collaboration between the violinist Jonathan Morton from Scottish Ensemble and choreographer Örjan Andersson. Within Sebastian Bachs piece Partita for violin no.2 the piece examines this historical document from the early 18th century with the help of five dancers and Jonathan Morton on stage. The process of creating Partita focuses on the literature surrounding the original piece and the performance will present a diptych where the two entities music and text meet, these contrasts will become the base of the performance. The human constant ambition to try to explain music through the written word and the many written interpretations this has created will be the starting point for the second part of the piece. The historical literary material will be processed and morphed so that a new logic, meaning and non-meaning will be created.
Andersson Dance is an alternating constellation of artists in the field of dance collaborating with choreographer Örjan Andersson, based in Stockholm, Sweden. Andersson Dance collaborates with venues and organizers nationally and internationally and invite artists from all over the world to collaborate in new and older creations.Andersson Dance is analogous to choreographer Örjan Andersson’s artistry and a language of derived from vastly different experiences of creating choreographic works. This language and his fascination with space and the amount we take hold of has been and is still in focus. Whatever the context, this side of the choreographer has been the common denominator – the movement in space and time. Örjan Anderssons investigation and fascination with movement has been conducted in many disparate contexts. Early on he received opportunities to create choreography for the large institutions nationally and internationally. This gave him an opportunity to develop his language and his view on the larger stages. At the same time Örjan Andersson founded Andersson Dance.
