The conductor Anna Maria Helsing conducts Norrlandsoperan’s Symphony Orchestra as we celebrate our fiftieth Jazz Festival with a new piece by Lina Nyberg.
Terrestrial is the big final of Lina´s ambitious trilogy where the music and the lyrics are structured around the themes of rebirth and death, the earth, the gravity and the joy of creativity. We also get to take part of the premiere of her Suite in three parts for orchestra.
Lina Nyberg has won both a Grammy and the Swedish Radio Jazz Cat. Last year, she received the Royal Musical Academy Jazz Price. In 2011 she was the guest of honour at the Umeå Jazz festival.
