The Galloping Cure
Critically acclaimed opera with Nordic premiere at Norrlandsoperan.
A mysterious man arrives in town with a stable of beautiful carousel horses. Riding them makes all the pain disappear. The town’s doctor, Theresa Hart, senses something is wrong, but doesn’t want to deny her patients help. The first ride is free. Getting off is all the harder.
Grammy-nominated composer Missy Mazzoli has written the opera together with her recurring partner, Pulitzer Prize-winning librettist Royce Vavrek. An unbridled and gripping story of relief and addiction, realized on stage by director Tom Morris and Leah Hausman.

A choreography of loneliness set to the sound of an organ. To the organ’s melody, Jon R. Skulberg and the iconic dancer Kenzo Kusuda explore the solitary body. Through Kusuda’s unique sensibility, we gain insight into the ambivalence of loneliness—a space between self-imposed isolation and a powerless experience of loneliness.

Fall Break Concert with the Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra
Welcome to a family concert where the Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra offers well-known music by the great classical composers such as Vivaldi, Grieg and Haydn and others.
The concert combines strong musical experiences with active learning, and the audience learns how a symphony orchestra works with the help of our inspiring cicerone Kristina Sturk.
Best suited for children 5 – 10 years.

Serving at the performance
You can buy coffee and other goodies in the bistro from an hour before the start and during breaks. The menu includes good drinks, snacks, home-baked pastries and light refreshments.
Pre-order for the intermission
We offer pre-orders for the break. You will receive a reserved table where your order is served. Please note: only cold drinks (+ any snacks: nuts, bags of chips or hot snacks) are ready for collection in the cloakroom on the lower floor, reserved table is not included.
