Panel discussion with an eye to the future

In connection with the launch of Dansplan Västerbotten, Norrlandsoperan and Dans i Västerbotten invite you to a panel discussion where we look ahead. Inspired by the radio program Spanarna, the panel interprets signs of the times and shares their visions for the development of dance in Västerbotten, from artistic currents to regional conditions and future opportunities.

In a conversation in classic scout format, politicians and key people in the Västerbotten dance field meet to discuss the region’s growing and vital role in the development of the contemporary Swedish dance scene. Together, they look for movements that are already underway, point out directions forward and talk about how dance in Västerbotten can continue to grow – locally, regionally and in dialogue with the outside world.

During the evening, we also draw attention to Dansplan Västerbotten, a new strategic action plan for the development of the free art of dance in the county. The dance plan has been developed within the project Dansutveckling Västerbotten, with Dans i Västerbotten as project owner and Nadja Nilsson as project manager.
