Ahead of Norrlandsoperan’s production of Puccini’s opera Tosca, the association Friends of Norrlandsoperan and Folkuniversitetet invite you to an introductory evening with several perspectives.
Lecturer
Eric Johannesson is a popular educator and lecturer and provides background to opera, composer and music.
Historian of ideas and researcher Lena Berggren from Umeå University helps us understand both Tosca’s and our own time with keys to how power is corrupted, democracy is threatened, and what happens in societies when external forces threaten or enable change.
