A spectacular experience centered around the joik

The group Ávus—whose name means both “space” and “happiness” in Sámi—creates a spectacular experience centered on the joik, accompanied by electronic sounds, powerful sound design, and lighting effects.

Ingá-Máret Gaup-Juuso is an acclaimed joik singer from Karesuando, Finland, known for her collaboration with Loreen on *Sápmi Sessions*. For her, joik is part of her identity and a passion she loves to share with the world.

Jörgen Stenberg, a reindeer herder and joik singer from the Malå Sameby, carries on the joik tradition by bringing hidden joiks to life through new musical collaborations.

Combined with Emsing’s and Estensen’s rhythmic and electronic elements, Ávus delivers an emotional and playful concert that promises to fascinate and inspire.

The tour is being organized as part of the Musik i Norr collaboration.
