A vortex of life energy

“Made of Space ” is an award-winning visual and musical journey featuring seven dancers and two musicians (marimba and percussion) in a choreography that both challenges and surrenders to gravity.

The stage space creates the illusion of infinity, suggesting that the dance continues even beyond our field of vision. Through a sophisticated interplay between dance, music, and the stage space, an endless wave of dance and music emerges—a whirlwind of vital energy, a state of complete presence. Here and now, together.

In the performances by the choreographic duo Guy Nader and Maria Campos, the interaction between the dancers is always the focus. Sophisticated partner work that creates a comforting world, where there is always someone there to catch me when I fall or throw myself out, someone to offer a foothold when I want to climb, an outstretched hand or foot when I need support. The art of always being there for one another and daring to trust each other.

Made of Space premiered in 2021 and is the final installment of a trilogy that began with the quintet TIME TAKES THE TIME TIME TAKES (2015) and continued with the septet SET OF SETS (2018), both of which explore the concepts of time and infinity. This time, the choreographic duo focuses on the fourth dimension: space-time.

MADE OF SPACE won the award for best choreography at the XXIV Premis de la Crítica d’Arts Escèniques 2022.
