New work signed Alma
In the spring of 2025, the acclaimed choreographer Alma Söderberg will return to Norrlandsoperan with a world premiere of her largest self-produced work to date. With her on stage, she has five fantastic artists who are both dancers and musicians at the same time.
With a splash of humor
Alma Söderberg has become known for her intricate interplay between movement and rhythm. A meeting between metrical thinking and emotional physicality, where one does not exclude the other. A kind of sounding, rhythmically driven dances. Suggestive and with a splash of humour.
Joy and sorrow
In Infinétude , she draws nourishment from her first dance love and eternal source of inspiration; Flamenco, with its ability to enter and play with deep emotions (joy, sorrow, happiness, rebellion, desperation, etc.) while being in complex rhythmic patterns that are constantly changing in an interplay between dancers and musicians.
Alma brings these experiences and approaches with her into her work with Infinétude , where she, together with the five phenomenal artists, who all come from the contemporary European dance scene, examines music, dance, form and pattern making, linked to emotions; to healing, to resistance and to both joy and sorrow.
