Hialøsa – Ancient Pop from Skåne
The southern Swedish word “hialös” means “eager”—and that’s exactly how the music feels when Hialøsa takes the stage. With a sound all their own, inspired by traditional songs from Skåne, the group delivers spirited folk music.
Hialøsa is one of the country’s most acclaimed live bands in the field of Nordic folk music. With precision and heart, they perform swing polkas, long dances, mysticism, and dreams. Their stage presence resonates deep within the audience as they deliver their musical interplay and historical truths. Simply put, it’s a Hialøsa swing!
Hialøsa was named Newcomer of the Year 21/22 at the Folk and World Music Gala:
– With drive, joy, and wonderful energy, they get the dance floors swaying and the concert audience listening.
– Honest, great tunes, fresh energy, and no pandering!
