Viktor Norén is going on a Christmas tour
At the end of the year, Viktor Norén will embark on his first solo Christmas tour, and on December 6, he’ll be in Umeå. He’s doing this after releasing two of the most-played Christmas songs of recent years, “Det är dig jag väntar på” and “Stjärnorna lyser för oss,” featuring guest appearances by Lisa Nilsson and Carola, as well as several successful tours with his brother Gustaf—the most recent one, two years ago, was completely sold out when the brothers performed a total of 35 Christmas concerts.
It’s no understatement to say that Christmas has become a major part of Viktor’s artistry, and this year he’s continuing that tradition as he takes the stage dressed in traditional folk costume, accompanied only by an acoustic guitar and a Dala horse, to sing Christmas carols.
– There’s no holiday more closely associated with family and friends than Christmas. And that’s exactly how I view my audience—as close friends with whom to share a warm moment. This winter, I’ll be singing in churches and theaters across the country, and I’d like to invite you to an intimate and personal evening filled with our most beloved Christmas songs, laughter, and tears. Together, we’ll take a moment to pause, reflect on why Christmas means so much, and light a musical candle in the winter darkness. Welcome to my Christmas concert, says Viktor Norén.
