Dance
Norrlandsoperan is one of Sweden’s strongest and most successful platforms for contemporary dance. We do not have our own dance ensemble, but focus on collaborations both nationally and internationally. Through Norrlandsoperan, the audience can take part in the experimental and innovative as well as the established and more traditional. Our program should offer something for all ages and for all tastes, we want to make the diversity of dance available to everyone, while at the same time contributing to the development of the art form here in the north.
Dans i Västerbotten
Dans i Västerbotten is a regional operation that aims to work for the status of dance in the county, with a special focus on children and young people. Dans i Västerbotten is part of the consulting business in the county, which has its mission from Region Västerbotten.
Projects and collaborations
It is just as fun to team up with Umeå Teaterförening, Balettakademin and the tour network Dansnät Sverige, as with international partners such as Aerowaves. We have a long tradition of working with various EU projects, where together with organizers in other countries we create networks, job opportunities and lots of new dance.
