Get closer to the dance!
Come experience the powerful movements and rhythms of flamenco with dance instructor Sofia Lindgren. During this hands-on introduction, you’ll get to try out the basics and experience the musicality and movement that permeate tonight’s performance. Who knows—maybe you’ll recognize some of the moves when you watch *La Venidera* from the audience!
Sofia runs Sofias Flamenco in Umeå, where she teaches, choreographs, and performs. With a background that includes working as a choreographer for *Bernardas hus* at the Riksteatern and regular study trips to Spain, she is passionate about sharing the world of flamenco.
No prior knowledge required
You don’t need any prior dance experience to participate—Sofia will meet you right where you are. You can wear your regular clothes; you don’t need to change. Come as you are—it’ll be fun!
Immediately following the in-person introduction, you are welcome to attend the oral introduction to the work in the main foyer.

You can buy coffee and other goodies in the bistro from an hour before start. The menu includes wine, beer, soft drinks, snacks, homemade pastries, shrimp sandwiches and much more.
