The Norrlandsoperan’s rich and memorable repertoire
The Historical Corner presents, among other things, costumes, masks,
a wig and props from the operas Turandot (2005),
The Snow Queen (2013), Elektra (2014), Blanche and Marie (2014), The Marriage of Figaro (2015), Rigoletto (2015), Faust (2017), La Traviata (2018), Orpheus and Eurydice (2018) and Tartuffe (2022).
This section also features examples of costume sketches, posters, films, and
images from the Norrlandsoperan’s 50-year history. All set to the music of *

Norrlandsoperan began in 1974 as a small and bold opera
ensemble. Today, Norrlandsoperan is an opera house featuring
a symphony orchestra, opera, dance, music, art, as well as workshops
and studios. Each year, approximately 600–700 performances
are staged at the opera house, throughout the region, nationally, and internationally.
