Successful pianist on a visit to Sweden

Ryu Lawden, born in Medan, Indonesia.He began his musical journey with the piano at the age of 4. Since 2014, he has been under the tutelage of Miss Nini Irawaty Widjaja at the Yamaha Music School. Ryu showed exceptional talent from an early age, winning first place in the “AXA Starkids with Talent” competition on Global TV at the age of 4.5.

Pianist Ryu Lawden is a successful young pianist who actively cultivates his musical passion and constantly strives to refine his piano skills. He regularly attends master classes led by international educators, professors, and renowned pianists, including Prof. Friedemann, Steven Spooner, and others.

Ryu’s repertoire includes a deep appreciation for classical music, as reflected in the evening’s program, and has also spent time studying lesser-known composers such as Muzio Clementi, the composer for whom Wladimir Horowitz also spoke so warmly.
