Tomorrow’s composers
The Piteå School of Music has one of Europe’s best composition programs! Several of its students have gone on to become successful composers, achieving recognition around the world. A very important part of their education is the collaboration with the Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra. For over 30 years, the orchestra has rehearsed and performed brand-new music by promising young composers, and this year is no exception. On April 9, the Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra will present a lunchtime concert featuring brand-new music.
The program features conductor Prof. Petter Sundqvist and conductors from the master’s program in Piteå.
