In the performance MASC depicts choreographer Sofia Södergård as an intense longing for love, a longing we all carry with us, but which can have many different faces. With a feminist gaze and queer stories, she takes us on a charged journey about masculinity and femininity, same-sex love, domestic violence and the fight for freedom.

About Sofia Södergård
Sofia Södergård is a dancer, choreographer, actress and DJ. Previously toured under the auspices of Riksteatern with her own performance SLICK. Which was nominated for the Swedish Theatre Critics’ Dance Prize and one of the selected performances for the Performing Arts Biennial 2019. Sofia is one of the founders of the dance company P*fect, which has been seen at Sadler’s Wells in London, Melodifestivalen, Juste Debout in Paris and been the opening act for Lady Gaga.

During the spring, we get help from Novas with catering in connection with performances. You can buy coffee and other goodies an hour before the start. The menu includes various drinks, homemade pastries, salads and sandwiches (the selection may vary). While waiting for a serving permit, non-alcoholic drinks are served.
Norrlandsoperan has been looking for a new restaurateur for a long time and we look forward to being able to present our new restaurateur later in the spring. The restaurant will open in early summer with food, drink and a good atmosphere. The opera house will once again be a vibrant and open house.
