Encounter Between Dancers and the Audience
You sit down in the chair, a dancer approaches you and says: “
.” What happens next is a silent dialogue, an exclusive encounter. An opportunity to see dance with new eyes. To see—to truly see—dance. When you’ve seen enough, you can leave the chair.
“One One One” is performed in public spaces. Previously, the piece has been performed on streets and in public squares, at a prison in Madagascar, and at Rikshospitalet in Copenhagen.
Choreographer Ioannis Mandafounis has developed his own method in which intuition takes center stage. The dancer becomes like a membrane that says “yes” to all of his or her impulses in relation to the source—the audience in their seats.
The performance is both an exclusive encounter between two people (the public figure and the dancer) and can also be enjoyed from a broader perspective.

In addition to performances in more traditional venues, you can find this international ensemble dancing in unexpected places such as streets and town squares, in libraries, or in hospital waiting rooms. About Chiang Liu
Leo began dancing when he was 4 years old. He holds a bachelor’s degree in classical Chinese dance from the Beijing Dance Academy. He went on to study modern and contemporary dance at the University of Utah in the United States, where he also worked as an assistant instructor. In 2019, he earned his Master of Fine Arts in modern dance and dance film. He has worked as a dance program director at Hubei Vocational College of Art and as a dancer with the Air Force Dance Company of the People’s Liberation Army in China. Leo has collaborated with and received mentorship from Stephen Koester, Satu Hummasti, Molly Heller, Katie Scherman, Gesel Mason, Ellen Bromberg, and Katrina McPherson.
Leo has been dancing with Norrdans since the fall of 2019.
About Kevin
Kevin Julianto began dancing ballet and contemporary dance in his home country of Indonesia when he was 13 years old. He has since studied at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and, as of the summer of 2020, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance from Northern School in Leeds. Kevin has danced for choreographers such as Siko Setyanto and Josh Marcy at Dansity, Gerard Mosterd and Marich Prakorso at Kreativität Dance Indonesia, Indonesia Dance Company, Reveriano Camil at Tuva Tanz, Toby Rorimpandey, Farida Oetoyo, Deborah Robertson, Yon Jing Li, Cindy Ng, Eleanor Sikorski, Fernanda Prata, and Leu Wijee.
Kevin has been dancing with Norrdans since the fall of 2022.
