Performing arts and motor culture in sweet early summer evenings

Jump in – let’s go! Join us for an experience-based motor meeting where motor culture and performing arts meet in a joint exploration of bodies, choreographies and EPA cans. Our Driving Force includes performance elements such as music and theatre mixed with car rides for experiences along the way and for transport to new secret destinations. When the last ride is finished, we gather and end the evening together. Experience a vibrant cultural centre on wheels where you are met by cultural experiences and local motor enthusiasts in wonderful collaboration.

Vår Drivkraft is an innovative performance where we transform a local parking lot (the Gravel Parking Lot at Profilteatern, Umestan/Kaserngatan) into the hub of a rolling cultural center. Together with Västerbottensteatern’s actors, dancers and technicians – as well as local motor enthusiasts – we create an evening full of unexpected encounters.

So what really happens? We meet at the venue and the show starts. At given times, you are invited to one of the cars – you can choose whether you want to go with you or not and whether you want to go with a particular friend. Someone starts the engine. Maybe an actor sits behind the wheel and starts a monologue. Maybe you get to go on a personal tour to someone’s favorite place in the city. Maybe the car stops – and you step straight into a small music concert. Between car turns, we meet again at the venue and after a while are invited to a new car trip with a secret destination.

No two tours are the same and you never really know what awaits behind the next turn. This is close, simple, in the present and a little adventurous. As the collaboration usually takes place with local motor associations in different places, both cars and drivers can vary from evening to evening and each performance is therefore completely unique. When all the tours are finished, we gather again, talk, land – and end the evening together.
