For children ages 1–2

Language can never capture reality exactly as it is. Words are so angular, after all, while reality is round.

That’s the view of choreographers Annica Styrke and Karin Wiklund, both natives of Västerbotten and founders of the performing arts group Johanssons pelargoner och dans.

In this imaginative work, visitors can curiously explore the building blocks of reality, in close collaboration with dancers and musicians. Children and adults alike are enveloped by a gentle and inviting set design, where life’s big questions are addressed with care.

A performing arts group, with a particular focus on children and young people, that has garnered attention for its interactive performances, as well as for its development of new performing arts methods. Among other things, they have published the book *Anthology for a Multilingual Performing Arts* (eds. Haglund, Styrke & Wiklund 2020)—a collection of newly written texts on multilingualism, translation, power, identity, and participatory performing arts. The artistic directors of Johanssons pelargoner och dans are Annica Styrke and Karin Wiklund—choreographers, dancers, and dance educators trained at the School of Dance and Circus.
