Double the fun with authentic flamenco

María del Mar Suárez la Chachi is a dancer and actress from Málaga who has decided to make flamenco the focal point of her own artistic work.

In several of her award-winning works, she collaborates with the singer Lola Dolores, who began singing flamenco at a young age, including the taranto—a style of singing performed a cappella, without guitar accompaniment.

Against the simplest possible backdrop—two folding chairs and understated clothing—we see these women in a candid and emotionally charged encounter with one another and their beloved art form. It becomes a wordless conversation using hands, feet, voice, and body—and a generous dose of humor.

How it all plays out is a matter between them and those of you who are there. Taranto Aleatorio literally means “random Taranto.”
