A look behind the scenes

On our tour, you’ll get to know the various job roles involved in running an opera house and gain insight into the work that goes into a production. You’ll learn more about the Norrlandsoperan’s 50-year history up to the present day and what we have coming up next!


Reservations starting August 12

The tour requires you to reserve a free ticket. If the performance is sold out, you can join the drop-in line.

Your free ticket is valid only until 10 minutes before the start; after that, any remaining seats will be offered to those in the walk-in line.

On our guided tour, you’ll learn about several different professions at an opera house and gain insight into the behind-the-scenes process of a production.
You’ll also learn more about Norrlandsoperan’s 50-year history up to the present day—and what exciting things we have in store!

The guided tour requires you to book a free ticket. If the tour is fully booked, you can join the drop-in line to wait for a spot.

Your free ticket is valid only until 10 minutes before the start. After that, any available seats will be offered to those in the walk-in line.

Language

The first guided tour at 12:15 will be conducted in English. The remaining tours will be conducted in Swedish.

Meeting Point

The guided tour begins at Klacken in the Norrlandsoperan’s public foyer.

Free admission for everyone
Admission is completely free to all events at the Norrlandsoperan during Open House, but you must reserve a free ticket for the guided tour, as space is limited.
Language

The guide and staff we meet on the tour speak Swedish. The first guided tour at 12:15 p.m. is in English.
