The Opera Singers of the Future

ONO offers vocal students the opportunity to receive practical training in opera while enrolled in the Piteå School of Music’s one-year master’s program or two-year master’s program in classical music.

The purpose of the programme is to provide aspiring opera singers with practical professional experience while still pursuing their studies. Instruction is delivered on site at both Norrlandsoperan in Umeå and the School of Music in Piteå. Students are also assigned a role in one of Norrlandsoperan’s productions, either during the academic year or in the following season in connection with the programme.
