The evening’s music is Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 9, often called “The Great”. It is one of the great orchestral works from the 1800s, with melodies that are easy to absorb.

If you are not familiar with Schubert from before, this is a good start. In the symphony there are calm parts, but also music that bubbles and is filled with energy. Here you will hear the orchestra in full format.
