Workshop that challenges body control

Theresa “tr3sa” Gustavsson is a dancer, choreographer and project manager with a strong commitment to community. Since 2005, she has been active both nationally and internationally in battles, stage performances, teaching and organizing.

Her expression is characterized by street and club dance styles from the United States as well as inspiration from various groove and rhythm-based dances. She loves to dive into body mechanics, motor skills and to gain a deep understanding by breaking down movements and challenging the body’s control.

In her latest works, Open Doors and YEBO YES!, she focuses on dance as language and communication through work with freestyle and improvisation. She is a co-founder of the groups ATATA (popping), What Came out of the Mothership (Locking) Swedish Family (All style Crew) and the non-profit organization Afia, which organizes the South African dance and music festival “Afia Festival”. Since 2019, she is based in Malmö and collaborates with Kulturföreningen IVER and leads their Open Dance Practice, a meeting place for everyone interested in dance in Malmö.
