In this special concert, two musical worlds come together in an enchanting and tempestuous alliance. For the first time, Ye Banished Privateers and Storstan Street Brass are crossing creative paths, ready to weigh anchor and set sail on a sea of notes, rhythms, and raw energy.

Ye, the Banished Privateers

From windswept coasts and dimly lit harbor taverns comes Ye Banished Privateers—a band of sailors, pirates, and bards who tell tales of bygone eras. With their rousing sea shanties and resounding choral singing, they sweep the audience along on a journey through stormy seas and adventurous destinies. Their music, inspired by 17th-century pirate ballads and Celtic melodies, is equal parts celebration and history, with each song echoing a bygone era.

Storstan Street Brass

Like a marching parade through a distant port city, Storstan Street Brass—Sweden’s premier New Orleans brass band—arrives. With blazing brass fanfares, rattling drums, and pulsating bass tones, they bring the city’s streets to life, no matter where they play. Inspired by Louisiana’s vibrant music scene, they blend jazz, funk, and soul into a sound that evokes both carnival and rebellion. But Storstan Street Brass also carries with it the mystique and magic of New Orleans—the city where the music never stops, where voodoo and folklore dance in the shadows, and where every note seems to hold a secret from a bygone era.
