Inspired by Greatness

The octet draws inspiration from greats such as the Rebirth Brass Band, the Dirty Dozen, and The Soul Rebels. With powerful horn riffs and rhythmic drums, they transport their listeners to another continent. The band has made a name for itself on the Swedish music scene by combining New Orleans jazz with arrangements of well-known pop songs for all ages.

Family Concert at the Umeå Jazz Festival

Storstan Street Brass strives to reach as many people as possible with its brass music, regardless of age or location. Now it’s time for them to take the Västerbotten countryside by storm with an intensive tour! They’ll visit five towns, combining their performances with school concerts and workshops for arts schools. The tour will conclude with a spectacular family concert at the Umeå Jazz Festival!

The tour is a collaboration between MOTILI and Norrlandsoperan, and is funded by the Swedish Arts Council.
