An adventure for all the curious
In the music genre Shoegaze, the musicians look down at their shoes and pedals, while creating their massive emotional soundscapes.
In the dance piece of the same name, our perspectives are shifted. What do we see by looking down at our feet and everything we walk and step on? Aren’t we in fact huge giants stepping across complex hyperenvironments of moss, goblins and insects?
The Norwegian choreographer Kristin Ryg Helgebostad is known for her wild and imaginative creations. In Shoegaze, she collaborates with seven skilled dancers from Norrdans and Chrisander Brun, whose colorful rooms and spectacular costumes transport us to another place.
