What happens when a Bergman film becomes a musical?

We are joined by film historian Jan Holmberg, who is currently the CEO of the Ingmar Bergman Foundation.

Jan Holmberg takes us back to 1955 and the premiere of Bergman’s film, and discusses its place in Bergman’s body of work. We’ll also hear about the transition from film to stage and musical productions in 1973, and more broadly, about what’s happening as Bergman’s films are increasingly being adapted for the stage today.
