A dance night that leaves a lasting impression
Intense, exhilarating, inspiring—the second edition of the Norrlandsoperan Spring Salon brings together some of the most exciting creators in contemporary dance for a spectacular evening on the Main Stage. If you’re going to experience one dance event this season, this is definitely the one!
Come and enjoy a taste of the national and international dance scene, get a first look at choreography in development, and see teasers for the upcoming season. Socializing, conversations, and fantastic choreography take turns taking center stage as we come together to celebrate and enjoy dance that moves, enchants, and challenges.
Most of the evening’s program is a secret, but we’ll be revealing a few clues on our social media this spring, so keep your eyes and ears open!
Norrlandsoperan – A Center for Contemporary Dance
Norrlandsoperan is one of Sweden’s largest venues for contemporary dance; Västerbotten is increasingly investing in dance through vocational dance training; and there is a vibrant dance scene with talented choreographers, dancers, and creators gathering in the Umeå region. Norrlandsoperan’s Spring Salon is an annual event that gives you the chance to get a glimpse of what’s happening right now—and a tantalizing glimpse of the future.

Catering at the performance
You can buy coffee and other goodies in the bistro from one hour before the start and during the break. The menu includes wine, beer, soft drinks, snacks, homemade coffee bread, shrimp sandwiches and much more.
Pre-order for the break at
. Pre-order your break refreshments and avoid lines. You’ll get a reserved table where your order will be served. If you only pre-order cold drinks (plus snacks, if any: nuts, a bag of chips, or hot snacks), these will be ready for pickup in the coatroom on the lower level (table not included).
