No, you don’t need to be familiar with the material, but it can be fun—and sometimes helpful—to have a little background information. Read more about the performances on the show pages, and feel free to attend the introduction, which is usually held half an hour before the show starts.
Your experience is uniquely yours. What you bring with you into the theater always depends on what you’ve been through and what you know beforehand. Sometimes it’s good to have some knowledge about what you’re about to see; other times, that knowledge gets in the way of the experience. You’re the best judge of that.
Our introductions are usually led by someone who knows a great deal about the performance. The purpose is to provide some insights into the work, so that you, as a visitor, can have an even richer experience.
Yes, we prefer that you leave your outerwear outside the salon—for everyone’s comfort. The coat check is free and staffed. PLEASE NOTE! Only small bags smaller than A4 size may be brought into the salon.
A bell rings three times. The third time you hear the bell, it’s high time to go inside.
Most of our performances do not allow latecomers, which means you will not be admitted once the doors have closed. This is because both the audience and the performers on stage may be disturbed. In some cases, it’s possible to slip in a little later during the performance. Our ushers know what the rules are in each situation.
