For Event Organizers

Offering music, opera, and dance to the entire Västerbotten region is a central part of Norrlandsoperan’s mission. We place a special emphasis on ensuring that children and young people have the opportunity to experience and participate in cultural activities—no matter where they are in the region. Here is a collection of information for event organizers in Västerbotten.

Organize a performance

All productions are subsidized and coordinated by Norrlandsoperan. The production comes complete with staff and technical equipment. We also provide marketing materials. The organizer is responsible for hosting the event and inviting the audience.

Our offerings are always of high quality. We make our selections based on experience, market research, and dialogue with event organizers.

School Performances

A large part of the Norrlands Opera’s activities is aimed at children and young people in preschool, elementary school, and high school, as well as at music and cultural schools.

The Sleep Hunters
, Ages 7–9

“The Sleep Hunters” is a newly written family play by Profilteatern in collaboration with Norrlandsoperan. The play explores the things in life that can make it hard to sleep—both the more obvious ones and those hidden beneath the surface. The Sleep Hunters features specially composed music performed by three musicians from the Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra, and the setting is a child’s bedroom, which—with the help of clever lighting effects and a stuffed animal that suddenly comes to life— is transformed into a magical place during one night on Earth.

” (The Hovercraft) for ages 5–8

*The Floater* isa festive, hopeful, and whimsical performance that invites children into the magic of the stage. The audience gets to sing, play invisible instruments, and dance in a group concert led by Martin Östman as *Svävaren* onstage. Dancer Savanna Hanneryd surprises us with powerful krump, popping, and gliding feet. The music in the performance is partly performed live and was composed specifically for the show by Martin Östman.
