En koreograf prövar att låna ut sin kropp till andras idéer.
Covid-restriktioner, flygskam och bristande resurser sätter käppar i hjulen för människors förflyttningar. Men det behöver ju inte hindra idéer och koreografier från att färdas! Med detta i åtanke undersöker Olga Tsvetkova hur hon kan förmedla andra koreografers verk med sin egen kropp. Genom Zoom-samtal och brevväxlingar låter hon dem instruera henne i rörelser, läsningar och sång, för att på så sätt pröva ett mer hållbart sätt att skapa dans och performancekonst. En kollegial gest och en konkret lösning i en tid av globala begränsningar och sociala utmaningar, med potential att hjälpa koreografer utan tillgång till inarbetade nätverk att få större spridning och synlighet. Givetvis väcker detta också frågor om vad som egentligen händer med en idé när den överförs från en människa till en annan.

A performance lecture about lending your body to other artists’ ideas
“Due to the pandemic closure, climate change and my ongoing desire for decentralization I would like to propose a new artistic gesture: to lend my body and the mind to other dance artists. Since many of Russian choreographers in Siberia and others very remote areas do not have any access to European networks, this gesture can become a real chance to make themselves and their artistic practices known.”
This performative lecture will shine a light on questions of accessibility and diversity, equality and the potential of sharing resources. Olga Tsvetkova believes in the generosity of the community of dance and performance artists and has chosen this format as her humanistic, unconventional and at the same time refreshing way of challenging performing arts in a time of global covid limitations.
