This autumn’s program in Vita Kuben is curated by Frida Sandström and Marianna Feher. As part of the program, they have invited Manuel Pelmuş an Oslo based artist and choreographer educated in Bucharest and internationally active in the field of dance, performance and visual arts.
Recomposing traces that not only he embodies but which also surrounds him, Pelmuş emphasises on lineages across places and times, by investigating the modus operandi of an archive, a narration or a power relation – with the a empt to outline their unspoken choreography, and simultaneously adding details that may both highlight and change their character. By voicing the conflicts that occur in precisely these crossroads, Pelmuş includes himself in the story that is told, and this is where the action departs, as well as what it creates: refusing both past and -post, Pelmuş works through the pre-sense.
This event is free. To participate email us.
